Shepherd School Logo

In Season Four as you study and are trained in Particular Baptist Covenant Theology, Church History, and Eschatology (see syllabus), you will read from The Christian’s Reasonable Service (vol. 4) by Wilhelmus Á Brakel, A Body of Doctrinal Divinity by John Gill, Church History in Plain Language by Bruce Shelley, as well as The Book of Revelation Made Easy by Kenneth Gentry.

In addition to the weekly reading assignments, you will be taught from the Scriptures in an expository manner as well as from the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith. Each week both the expository sermon as well as the confessional teaching will focus primarily on one of the doctrines that has just been covered in book 1 or 2 of the reading assignment.

Finally you will be trained to rightly divide the word of truth as you write essays and expositions of Scripture concerning Particular Baptist Covenant Theology and Eschatology.
*essays and exposition are for the certificate path only
